Certified Medical Coding Specialist

We are looking for a Certified Medical Coding Specialist to help us streamline our RCM billing cycle as we strive to provide better-coordinated care management for patients.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for the timely and accurate Coding and data entry of patient billing information
• Assist with the follow-up of A / R, including self-pay and / or the resolution of denials
• Provide assistance to staff and patients regarding billing issues and problem resolution in a courteous and timely manner
• Participate in development of organization procedures and update of forms and manuals related to the revenue cycle
• Run and analyze assigned reports to ensure completion and accuracy of billing processes
• Collaborate with billing team in the planning, implementation, administration, and evaluation of projects to increase / improve billing processes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare / Medicaid / Commercial Insurers and other program updates including ICD-10 / CPT and HIPAA
• Perform other necessary duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• The ideal candidate will have integrity, be well versed in insurance rules and regulations, able to work remotely in a very collaborative team environment, be adaptable, and pay great attention to detail
• A minimum of 5 years of medical billing / coding / AR experience in physician-based office required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills, including writing / speaking / active listening
