Quandel Enterprises, LLC is looking to add a Corporate Scheduler to the team.
The Corporate Scheduler is responsible for building and updating all Enterprise project schedules in alignment with corporate and industry standards. This includes maintaining schedule quality and accurately reflecting progress, delays, and logic changes. This position is responsible for ensuring that the entire Quandel organization complies with its contractual obligations regarding schedule performance. Additionally, they are responsible for protecting the organization from potential claims by maintaining accurate and quality schedules. This individual will play a key role in identifying potential delays, resource needs, and schedule risks, and will work closely with the project teams to mitigate these issues.
What You Will Do:
- At the onset of the project, assist the team in creating the organizational structure of the schedule to allow adequate activities and durations without being too detailed.
- Provide basic training and best practices for operations staff semi-annually and as required for new hires.
- Thoroughly review baseline schedules for quality and accuracy.
- Thoroughly review project updates for quality and accuracy prior to publishing the schedule to the project team.
- Review progress and identify potential stacking of trades based on actual progress being made.
- Identify activities that are taking longer than planned and assist the team in implementing a recovery plan.
- Help the team understand the critical path and assist in focusing them on those items.
- Monitor and update project schedules regularly, adjusting timelines and resources as needed to reflect changes in scope, design, or other project variables.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other team members to gather project status updates and incorporate them into the project schedules.
- Coordinate meetings with project teams to discuss schedule progress and potential issues.
- Prepare regular schedule status reports, including project progress, delay analysis, and forecasted completion dates, for presentation to senior management and clients.
- Assist in the allocation and leveling of resources across multiple projects to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of all scheduling data, changes, and communications.
- Ensure that all schedules and supporting documents are properly archived.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably in a corporate or multi-project environment.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools. Strong Excel skills.
- Understanding construction processes, methodologies, and terminology.
- Familiarity with project management principles and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to identify trends and potential issues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in project scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP, PSP).
- Experience working on large commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Familiarity with Smart PM schedule analyzation software.
- Knowledge of lean construction principles and techniques, including Last Planner Process.
