Meeting/Event Director directs the overall planning and strategy for live or virtual meetings and events for an organization. Defines the goals, success metrics, and messaging for events. Being a Meeting/Event Director implements best practices and develops planning standards, policies. and procedures. Additionally, Meeting/Event Director develops a network of vendors. Approves the final selection of venues, catering, technology, and other event support services. Reviews and approves contracts and has overall responsibility for ensuring events stay within budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Meeting/Event Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Meeting/Event Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. As a Assistant Director, you will work closely with the Director to ensure the center is in compliance with OCFS and NAEYC regulations and standards. You will play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, collaborating with parents and training and supporting staff.     Duties:
    - Assist in the daily operations of the center
    - Assist with staff schedules
    - Assist with payroll processing
    - Communicate with families and staff
    - Provide assistance in classrooms when needed
    - Assist in keeping all licenses and inspections current ad in compliance
    - Co- lead staff meetings and parent workshops

    Requirements:
    - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or related field
    - Minimum 2 years experience in a childcare center or preschool setting
    - Minimum 1 year supervisory/leadership experience
    - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

    -Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets. Additional applications a plus

    -Knowledge of all social media platforms

    -Positive Can-do attitude

    -Problem solving strategies
    - CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
    - Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
