Meeting/Event Director directs the overall planning and strategy for live or virtual meetings and events for an organization. Defines the goals, success metrics, and messaging for events. Being a Meeting/Event Director implements best practices and develops planning standards, policies. and procedures. Additionally, Meeting/Event Director develops a network of vendors. Approves the final selection of venues, catering, technology, and other event support services. Reviews and approves contracts and has overall responsibility for ensuring events stay within budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Meeting/Event Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Meeting/Event Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Responsibilities:

    • Directs and administers strategic, operational, fiscal and personnel activities for pharmacy department.
    • Maintains all regulatory requirements for the development and implementation of policy procedures and security protocols for pharmacy drugs and supplies.
    • May be responsible for educating healthcare professionals and patients on medication use as well as compounding and dispensing prescribed medications for patient care.
    • Prepares and manages budgets, manages staff and ensures quality services are provided through daily operations.
    • Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure competency and patient safety.

    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
    • Five (5) years related experience of which three (3) years must have been in a supervisory capacity
    • Required: Current License to practice Pharmacy in state of NM
    • IV Certification must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire.

    Preferred Job Requirements:

    • Desired: Pharm D or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy with MBA/MS
    • Desired: Hospital Based Experience
