Member Services Director directs and coordinates all aspects of the health maintenance organization (HMO) member services department. Plans and directs policies and objectives for addressing member inquiries. Being a Member Services Director establishes service quality goals for the department and implements strategies to meet these goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Member Services Director typically reports to top management. The Member Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Member Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     GENERAL SUMMARY:
    Closely monitors association activities and provides important decision-making information to association leadership. Provides professional direction and support for all client activities, projects, meetings and campaigns.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.5 hours per week):
    • Manage the grant/fundraising development for CSRO.
    • Oversee implementation of strategic goals as directed by Board president.
    • Oversee legal responsibilities of the organization (taxes, bylaws, contracts, etc.).
    • Oversee financial activities, including payment of invoices, budget preparation, monthly financial records, annual audit, etc.
    • Supervise day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the association.
    • Oversee development and publication printed materials and other communications (broadcast emails, faxes, mail, etc.) to members.
    • Oversee committee infrastructure and activities.
    • Oversee maintenance and updates of the client website.
    • Coordinate agendas and other materials for Board meetings and conference calls.
    • Attend and facilitate in-person Board meetings.
    • Attend and facilitate committee conference calls.
    • Take and distribute minutes of Board and committee meetings and conference calls.
    • Attend the Rheumatology Fellows education meeting and provide support and staff oversight for all related functions.
    • Represent CSRO at related meetings when appropriate.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED:
    Approximately 15 days per year.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
    Bachelor’s degree or professional experience in a related field and excellent written and verbal skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    (lifting, packaging, etc.) Minimal lifting required. Ability to move quickly within meeting facilities.
     
     
    *This position is located in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.
