Our onboarding includes an orientation program with ongoing training to help staff further their career at BHFCU by building on their existing strengths.
General Purpose: Effectively represent the Credit Union in the communities we serve to establish a presence and support generation of loans, memberships, select employee groups, and public relations by making contacts and connecting businesses/people to the Credit Union through relationships.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Make connections with businesses and individuals and build a personal relationship in order to grow business through referrals. Solicit new and expanding businesses in alignment with strategic goals. Conduct presentations as needed to explain the benefits of a business membership and the products/services available to businesses.

Assist in achieving deposit and loan growth based on strategic goals by leveraging personal and business sources, connecting appropriate employees/departments to new opportunities, and following up to ensure connection has been made.

Identify and develop new and existing select employee groups (SEG) supporting our Member Experience goals and overall strategic initiatives.

Accommodate MSC Managers in their Member recruitment efforts. Provide them with the support of time, knowledge, and materials to approach potential members and businesses to offer the benefits of Credit Union membership.

Represent the Credit Union in the community to build awareness and support membership growth. Call on existing and prospective Members to maintain good working relationships, enhance Member retention, and discover additional ways to meet their needs. Leverage existing relationships to identify and engage with decision makers and executives.

Be actively involved in Chamber and Community organizations and events to build and enhance relationships and presence in the community. May include the need to work evening or weekend hours.

Maintain accurate records and contact management for good communication and follow up to contacts/Members.

Build effective relationships and collaborate with peers, managers and coworkers. Openly communicate, provide timely feedback, and share ideas and insights about market competition, challenges, and opportunities.

Evaluate current product opportunities and sales efforts; provide feedback and recommend improvements to products and services to increase competitiveness and sales efforts.

Evaluate programs and initiatives, track results and provide feedback for future participation.
Other Duties/Responsibilities

Offer and conduct presentations to businesses to enhance their employee benefits and bring financial literacy to their team members.

Offer and conduct presentations to the community at large, to enhance financial literacy and generate business.

Assist with Credit Union's communication with NCUA as it relates to advocacy topics such as Field of Membership expansion and membership eligibility.

Identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to problems and opportunities within existing products and services.
Job Knowledge

Working knowledge of Credit Unions products and services as well as the Credit Union difference. Working knowledge of laws and regulations affecting organization's products and services.

Strong time management and self discipline skills. Must be able to manage time effectively, regardless of work location (branch office, home office or traveling).

Strong presentation and writing skills; ability to communicate with all facets of the credit union's constituency, from entry level employees to skilled professionals and managers/owners; ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Working knowledge of organization's policies/procedures and credit union's service philosophy.

Working knowledge of business English and spelling/grammar.

Working knowledge of PC software, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and desktop publishing. Ability to maintain member relationship information in a meaningful way that can be shared.

Job Qualifications (Education/Experience)
Job requires a four yearcollege level of language, math and reasoning skills. Three years experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable. Formal training should be supplemented with continuing education.
This position requires flexibility and high professional standards of personal appearance, conduct, judgment, and the highest level of confidentiality.

Work Environment/Physical Activities
This job requires both desk assignment work and in field work. The presentations given to prospective members/organizations may require carrying presentation equipment. The job requires a degree of attention to detail.
Occasional travel to one of BHFCUs branch locations or attendance at community events may be required
This position has the option of a hybrid work schedule, with at least three days per week in the office. An assessment of the remote work environment must be completed prior to a remote work plan being developed.
