Merchant Card Customer Service Representative provides merchant bank card services to existing and new clients and acts as contact point for all merchant inquires. Responds to questions, researches and troubleshoots issues, processes billing and adjustment transactions. Being a Merchant Card Customer Service Representative assists with the set up and maintenance of services and processing systems including supplies and advertising collateral. Communicates new service offerings or changes to the clients. Additionally, Merchant Card Customer Service Representative may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Merchant Card Customer Service Representative gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. To be a Merchant Card Customer Service Representative typically requires 1-3 years of related experience or may have 0 years of experience with additional training, or certification.     SAMSCREEN INC. has a opening for a Customer Service Representative. This position reports directly to the Customer Service Manager and will be responsible for timely and appropriate response to customer and potential customer inquiries, order requests and comments for this first rate manufacturer of screening and wear products for the mining, aggregate and construction industries, located in Conklin NY.

    OVERALL POSITION FUNCTION :

    Complete inside sales and customer service

    PREREQUISITE :

    Customer service qualification or similar and / or relative level of demonstrated experience in sales & service preferably in a construction or mechanical industry.

    DIRECT SUPERVISOR

    Customer Service Manager

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

    ü Answer incoming phone calls and relay to appropriate departments

    ü Perform customer service on in-bound sales calls to develop business relationships with customers’ representatives by responding to their needs

    ü Enter purchase orders for resale product in an accurate and timely manner.

    ü Communicate logistics for 3rd party orders

    ü Record feedback and customer sentiment concerning Samscreen’s and competitors’ products, and communicate to relevant parties

    ü Respond to customer needs with timely response to quote requests, tracking info, order entry, customer complaints and product recommendations

    ü Enter customer complaints and respond to them based on feedback from customer service manager.

    ü Participate in direct mail / phone campaigns by contacting potential buyers and informing them of Samscreen Inc products and services.

    ü Open new customer accounts by promoting and selling products which satisfy client needs

    ü Enter new products in to ERP following preset conventions

    ü Become knowledgeable with Samscreen Inc.’s full line of screening media and wear products, with aim of promoting them to current customers as well as potential buyers

    ü Assist in the coordination and execution of departmental meetings

    ü Assist in the execution of manager-assigned purchasing needs

    ü Assist in the execution of inventory management of marketing materials for multiple companies
