Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst compiles and analyzes data required for merger, acquisition, and divestiture projects. Performs integrated revenue/expense analysis. Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pmThis classification performs high level duties to assist in the effective management and coordination of departmental functions. The Program Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Director and Deputy Directors, facilitating the execution of strategic departmental initiatives, and contributing to the overall enhancement of community and veteran’s services in the county.
Working Conditions
Typical indoor office environment. Sitting for long periods of time, working on computer. Lifting equipment or supplies up to 25 pounds alone and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Periodically required to work other than normal business hours.
Essential Functions

Assist the Director and Deputy Directors in planning, executing, and coordinating analytical and operational functions.
Conduct research on various program policies, providing informed advice to support both long-term and short-term planning efforts.
Offer recommendations based on trend analysis, working closely with program managers to refine program guidance and procedures for improved performance.
Collaborate with managers to develop resource strategies for presentations and briefings.
Foster and maintain partnerships with special interest groups aligned with the department’s goals.
Represent the department at conferences and meetings with federal, state, and local government entities, as well as business, industry, and private organizations.
Monitor the Board of County Commissioners process and prepare department managers for presentations.
Participate in special projects, task force assignments, and regional programs as needed.
Performs other related work (including weather or extreme emergency duties) as required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field preferred
Three (3) or more years of experience in program analysis, project management, public administration, or a related field. Experience in a government or public sector environment is desirable.
Valid driver's license required with valid Florida driver's license required within 30 days of hire.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Fundamental knowledge of local government operations, programs, and the legislative process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present complex information clearly to various stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience in conducting policy analysis and research, including the ability to provide informed recommendations based on data and trends.
Experience in planning, executing, and coordinating projects or departmental functions, especially in a collaborative environment.
