Location: Denver, CO
Salary: $20.00 Per Hour
Hours: Shift days vary ... Mon to Sun
- Provide direct physical assistance, supervision, training/guidance and support needed by persons service for completion of activities of daily living (e.g. toileting, eating, personal hygiene, etc.).
- Assist persons receiving supports with taking prescribed medications.
- Complete and maintain required documentation.
- Support person receiving services with planning and executing activities of choice in the home and community.
- Participate in cleaning and maintaining the home and surrounding environment. These tasks may include, but are not limited to vacuuming, laundry, dishes, meal preparation from a menu, organizing drawers and closets, cleaning ovens, washing windows, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Potential positions may require more medical coordination responsibilities and one on one support.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma or GED or C.N.A. with previous successful work experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License, satisfactory driving record and the ability to drive a 10-passenger van with wheelchair lift.
- Satisfactory CBI records check and other background checks.
Typical Physical and Mental Demands:
- Requires sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and reaching for assisting person receiving supports.
- Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes in this position.
- Ability to successfully complete all aspects of the crisis intervention training-Safety Care.
