  • About the Position

    Position Description

    The Registry Operations Analyst provides technical support, clinical data management and project management support to the clinical registries/studies and surveys, managed by UNOS Solutions. This is a highly visible role that requires close collaboration with staff at all levels in the organization along with clients and leaders in the transplant community. This role supports the development and maintenance of registries. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    Cross-Functional Team Leadership

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with other leaders in the organization to ensure efficient and timely management and delivery of projects led by team.
    • Contribute to technical discussions related to registry projects and tools with Research and IT teams as needed.
    • Maintain relationships with members of the transplant community and other registry clients both in support of current projects and also to identify potential business development opportunities.
    • Responsible for stakeholder communication; serving as the point of contact for all registry project participants and communicating the project status

    Project Management of Registries and Trials

    • Coordinate with Service Line, Research, IT (DA and SE), and General Counsel staff in development of documents related to project (statement of work, analysis plan, participation agreements, operational guidelines, level of effort, etc.).
    • Serve as the primary UNOS liaison to clients in the development and operation of registries.
    • Coordinate with Research Science SME/Scientific Lead on the projects to implement statistical analysis plans and respond to clients’ scientific/analytic questions/queries, as needed.
    • Actively monitor and manage hours and costs to ensure projects are completed within budget. Report status to leadership on a need basis.
    • Ensure that delivered products are timely and of high quality.
    • Lead and facilitate communication and interaction among staff from different functional areas (IT, Research, Data Analytics, UNOS Service Lines etc.)

     Other Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop/review required documents for Registry build and support such as electronic Case Report Form (eCRF) application spec with edit checks and validation rules, eCRF build spec, data management plan, eCRF completion guideline, and training materials.
    • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for IRB or other regulatory applications;
    • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for HRSA approval for registry projects that involve linkage with OPTN data;
    • Prepare presentations and updates regarding various department and team activities for UNOS leadership, and registry clients;
    • Coordinate development and enhancement of team process documentation and reference and training materials;

    Minimum Requirements

    • 5 years of project management or cross-functional team leadership experience required.
    • 3 years of experience working with data functions, clinical data or related experience required. 

    Critical Skills

    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills required
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills, as well as proficient time management and budgeting abilities required
    • Knowledge of scientific and policy issues relevant to organ transplantation encouraged
    • Familiarity with privacy regulations and experience with data use/sharing regulations including HIPAA privacy rules and IRB processes and protocols is required.
    • Project Management, Quality, Good Clinical Practice, and/or Clinical Data Management certification preferred.
    • Work experience in a collaborative team-oriented environment strongly preferred.
    • Ability to multi-task and handle numerous assignments simultaneously required.
    • Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently.
    • Experience in organ transplantation or related healthcare field desirable.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

    Education

    •  Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration or related field of study, or equivalent work experience required.
