Night Warehouse Supervisor jobs in Pierre, SD

PURPOSE

As a Warehouse Supervisor at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for the oversight of feed warehouse that has feed products coming in and going out. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees in the loading of feed products for customers. 
• Oversees with sales/office operations. 
• Conducts and helps manage inventory. 
• Monitors and keeps supervisor apprised of inventory levels. 
• Manages automated packaging line including tracking efficiency, housekeeping and maintenance.
• Provides excellent customer service. 
• Assists in ensuring that paperwork is completed accurately and timely. 
• Complies with current Central Valley Ag credit policies. 
• Maintains and promotes a safe work environment. 
• Assists other divisions and locations as needed. 
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Directly supervises 1 to 4 employees.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in conjunction with division heads.  Focus on highly engaged workforce with great communication skills.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• High School or GED diploma.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner and establish effective working relationships with internal operations and external customers.  
• Experience in forklift operations preferred.
• Able to learn feed software including robotic software.
• Good basic mechanical and electrical skills.
• Strong competencies in computer applications including Microsoft products.
• Works in a way that demonstrates safety is a priority.  Promotes a work environment that is safe for everyone.
