The Director of Nursing reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Supporting a person-centered model of care, the Director of Nursing is responsible for the day-to-day operational processes, staffing, and organization of the nursing department. Incumbent supervises nursing supervisors, clinc and appointment staff, respiratory therapists, unit nursing specialists, and infection control nurse. The DON ensures compliance with nursing policies and the standards of practice expected from our nurses. Responsible for 24/7 staffing, interviewing and hiring, coordinating training needs based on performance and experience, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations governing clinical programs provided by an ICF/IID.
