Their services range from Long-Term Care to Short Term Rehabilitation. The Director of Nursing will be an essential part of helping to continue to provide a personalized plan of care for each of the residents which includes specialized nursing and rehabilitation services.
Working with the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Nursing will oversee a group of registered nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, social workers, and chaplains. They will also work closely with the Hospital leadership and clinical staff members to ensure all residents medical plans of care are met with the highest of standards and quality.
The Director of Nursing will have experience as a Director of a Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing facility. The Director of Nursing is expected to have knowledge on the principles and practices of Long Term Care Nursing and Patient Care. The Director will be responsible for serving as a role model, initiator in problem-solving, decision-making processes, delegating, and communicating information to the nursing staff. The Nurse Director will develop clear performance expectations and resolve performance problems.
