Nutrition Director directs and oversees all aspects of an organization's or institution's nutrition guidelines and initiatives. Oversees institution of basic nutrition plans including individualized menu plans and monitors intake and acceptance of meals, snacks, and supplements. Being a Nutrition Director monitors and ensures proper nutrition education is provided. May oversee menu planning or food service operations. Additionally, Nutrition Director requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) from Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Typically reports to top management. The Nutrition Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Nutrition Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Every day we work together to reach children caught in humanitarian crises worldwide and need mission-driven, energetic, passionate problem solvers to join our team.   JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Assistant will serve as the right-hand person to the Founder/CEO, handling a wide range of important topics from complex humanitarian challenges to project management to social media, fundraising and manufacturing. Day-to-day responsibilities will involve organizing meetings on a myriad of topics, requiring the ability to proactively manage a busy schedule smoothly. Adaptability and flexibility are crucial here, along with the ability to deal with urgent matters that demands finesse. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: As the Executive Assistant at Edesia Nutrition, you'll be at the forefront of supporting our Founder/CEO in driving our life-saving mission forward. Here's how you'll make a difference:
    • Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative assistance to the CEO, ensuring smooth operations and efficient workflow.
    • Task Follow-Up: Implement effective processes to track and follow up on tasks and outstanding items requiring the CEO's attention, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks in our fast-paced environment.
    • Executive Team Support: Manage the calendar, notes, and follow-up items for Executive Team meetings, facilitating smooth communication and decision-making processes.
    • Strategic Planning Support: Collaborate with the Executive Team to administratively manage updates to the strategic plan, quarterly reviews, bi-annual retreats, and goal assessments, contributing to our ongoing growth and success.
    • Meeting Organization: Play a pivotal role in preparing meeting agendas, taking and logging notes in Salesforce, and following up on actions; coordinate key meetings like quarterly Board sessions and all-staff gatherings for effective stakeholder communication
    • Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating company events, conferences, and special projects, leveraging your organizational skills to ensure successful outcomes.
    • Schedule Coordination: Take charge of managing the CEO's demanding schedule, from arranging and prepping the CEO for meetings to coordinating complex international travel arrangements while being mindful of time and cost and ensuring attention to detail.
    • Visitor Coordination: Coordinate in-person visits seamlessly, from organizing agendas to arranging meals and facilitating tours/tastings, ensuring a welcoming and productive experience.
    • Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, adeptly handling inquiries and directing them appropriately, all while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Social Engagement: Assist in content development and posting across all social media platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging that aligns with company goals and values.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 3 years’ prior experience preferred in supporting a senior executive or team
    • Strong computer and Internet research skills
    • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills (primarily MS Teams, OneDrive, Canva, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Can handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality, demonstrating trustworthiness and integrity.
    • Ability to work independently with strong follow-through skills
    • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
    • Flexibility to juggle an extensive degree of multiple and changing priorities
    • Collaborative/teamwork attitude and skills a must
    • 100% On-site. Remote work will not be considered
    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    • General office environment. High utilization of office equipment, phone, computer, etc. Occasionally works in the production and warehouse areas. Ability to work remotely, as needed or requested. Domestic/international travel may be required up to 15% of time.
