This position is responsible for gaining competitive advantage in the areas of warehousing, distribution and logistics by identifying and implementing state of the art equipment, systems, metrics and methodologies for dramatically increasing the effectiveness, accuracy and overall productivity of warehousing operations.

• Identify, recruit and retain top performing employees; manage non-performing employees in accordance with company policy. Manage with the intent to motivate, train and develop. Provide timely, constructive feedback regarding progress of work and performance, Make well informed decisions, demonstrate initiative, use sound judgment, exhibit autonomy, and execute.
• Maximize our supply chain and business operational throughput with modern distribution systems (productivity, automation, technology). Responsible for overall freight including negotiations, contracts, carriers, management.
• In conjunction with branch and corporate ERP teams identify best business practices that are compatible with the S.A.P. operating platform. Maintain ISO 9001:2000 certification throughout existing locations and expand as required. Establish and implement ISO training and audit procedures.
• Maintain operational costs within agreed budgetary parameters and continually identify potential productivity and cost reduction improvements.
• Maintain saleable and accurate (locations and perpetual) inventory and optimize COE concepts to improve earn & turn ratios. Cycle counts & audited physical inventory procedures to be conducted. Develop methods and procedures to optimize material yields and effectively train warehouse personnel on those procedures.
• Ensure equipment and buildings are maintained to the highest standards without ever compromising safety and housekeeping. Coordinate relocations / expansions of facilities.
