Being an Order Clerk, Sr. confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk, Sr. may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Order Clerk, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. ORDER TAKER - IN ROOM DINING-SEASONAL

  • Overview:
    The primary responsibility of the In-Room Dining Cashier/ Order taker is to take guests orders over the phone in a quick and friendly manner.
    Responsibilities:
    • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette including answering the phone within 3 rings
    • Take the guest order, always trying to use suggestive/ upselling techniques
    • Provide an expected delivery time for their order
    • Place and log call backs for all IRD orders within appropriate time frame to ensure guest satisfaction
    • Communicate daily specials and answer any questions guest may have in regard to the menu having to do with food and / or beverage
    • Anticipate guests’ service needs by asking appropriate questions
    • Speak to guests’ and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language
    • Process all guest orders thru the POS terminal noting food modifiers for guest special requests
    • Adhere to the Hard Rock cash handling policy
    • Adhere to PCI compliance with regard to protecting guest information
    • Protecting basic information from guest such as name, room numbers and credit card information.
    • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank
    • Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures ( e.g blind drops)
    • Transport bank to/from assigned workstation, following security procedure
    • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean as you go procedures
    • Notify management of maintenance repair issues
    • Consider the satisfaction of all guests by ensuring prompt, courteous and efficient service at all times
    • Assist the department to drive guest satisfaction by providing consistent guest experiences
    • Properly address guest requests and inquiries by following departmental verbal script
    • Complete any additional reasonable requests by management
    Qualifications:

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a professional kitchen setting, but there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
