Package Design Manager leads the planning, design, and creation of packaging artwork for an organization. Utilizes graphic arts design techniques and tools to create compelling package designs that reflect the organization's branding and marketing objectives. Being a Package Design Manager incorporates industry practices and any regulatory requirements into package designs. Ensures that design and branding standards are utilized consistently for all packaging. Additionally, Package Design Manager collaborates with production, marketing, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver designs that meet all requirements and adhere to the budget. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in industrial design, art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Package Design Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Package Design Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a Department Manager who will be responsible for the professional, technical, management, marketing, administrative and financial aspects of the Civil/Site Department.  Manages the Department in order to provide cost effective services to various Department Managers, Project Managers, staff and other employees in a manner which produces an adequate profit for the Company.

    Responsibilities

    • Land Development Plan, Stormwater Management, Water and Sanitary Sewer, and Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Design.
    • Managing multiple projects and workload with competing deadlines.
    • Quality Control.
    • Regulatory agency permitting.
    • Proposal scope and budget preparation.
    • Financial Management including invoice preparation and accounts receivable.
    • Project Scheduling.
    • Client management.
    • Mentoring and training staff.
    • Other project duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
    • 10-15 years of experience required.
    • Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations. 
    • Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analyses, grading and other site development related designs.
    • Familiarity with the use and capability of Civil 3D.
    • Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
    • Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment.
    • Construction oversight experience a plus.
    • Dedicated, responsive, and organized.
    • Valid driver’s license.
