Pathology Assistant under the supervision of a pathologist assists with preparing and dissecting surgical specimens. Prepares and selects tissue samples for analysis. Being a Pathology Assistant may record findings or sterilize equipment. Requires a bachelor's/master's degree from an accredited program. Additionally, Pathology Assistant may require certification as a pathologist assistant. Typically reports to a pathologist. To be a Pathology Assistant typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Requirements:

    • Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
    • Knowledge of techniques for speech, language, communication, and articulation disorders
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    Qualifications:

    • Must have a CA State Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License
    • Must have a CA State Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License in process/pending
    • Be comfortable working with children

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

    Pay: 35-50 per hour

    Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
