Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. JOB SUMMARY:
The Payroll Administrator oversees payroll in compliance with all state and federal regulations. This function is vital to ensuring a smooth and accurate payment process for our valued employees. This role has responsibilities including reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, validating that all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensuring payments are made on time. We are looking for someone who has strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail (catching numerical and coding errors), and the ability to build useful and accurate reporting, employee guidance, and process documentation to help track our objectives and key results and define other metrics.
