Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Payroll Administrator job opportunity for the corporate office located in Emeryville, CA.
This position is 100% in-office! The ideal candidate will have 2 years of professional experience processing payroll and using UKG / Ultipro.
The role will be responsible for processing a weekly payroll, a bi-weekly payroll, and within multiple states. The position will monitor accrued vacation, floating holidays and sick pay, set up new garnishments, track garnishments paid and resolve any discrepancies, maintain accurate garnishment records, prepare and process all payroll related union items, monitor payroll email inbox, provide customer service to the employees on the payroll phone line, and assist on other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications :
Experience : 2 years of payroll experience (Payroll Administrator, Payroll Clerk, Payroll Technician)
