Payroll Administrator jobs in Idaho
Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system. Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy. Being a Payroll Administrator maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions. Prepares required tax filings and other reporting. Additionally, Payroll Administrator may coordinate payroll processing with an outside service provider. Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. May require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Payroll Administrator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Idaho Timber is seeking a Payroll Administrator with ADP Workforce Now experience at its Corporate Office located at the Village at Meridian in Meridian, Idaho. The position requires a candidate that possesses outstanding attention to detail and accuracy with a strong knowledge of the principles and practices related to payroll preparation and record maintenance.
Skills and qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, employees and clients
- Deep knowledge of the practices related to payroll preparation
- Strong multitasking skills and high resistance to stress of fast paced working environment.
- Proficiency in using various computer programs: Word, Excel.
- Strong knowledge of automatic data processing systems
- At least five years of functional experience in a payroll location, operating with multiple areas
