Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, data entry, and accounting.

Duties:

- Process payroll for employees on a regular basis, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits

- Maintain employee records and ensure all payroll information is up to date

- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees

- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies

- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data and proper documentation

- Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status

- Analyze payroll reports to identify errors or inconsistencies and make necessary corrections

- Assist with accounts receivable tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role

- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations

- Proficient in using payroll software (e.g., Quickbooks) and Safechoice

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles is a plus

- Strong analytical skills to identify errors or discrepancies in payroll reports
