JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Registered Nurse Manager oversees the daily work flow and volume requirements for the department. Responsible for providing expert, professional care such as proactive monitoring, assessment, education and follow-up with CHV patients in person and by phone. They are responsible for supervising and mentoring assigned employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- MAINTAINS THE STRICTIST OF CONFIDENTIALITY.
- Responsible for triaging patients, by phone or in person. Must incorporate the use of established protocols, critical thinking, prioritizing, and delegation to resolve patient needs.
- Evaluating health status through the collection and assessment of health data
- Collects subjective and objective data; analyzes reports, and record data; prioritizes patient's needs and uses data to identify health care problems and create plan.
- Review diagnostic test results with physicians. Differentiates normal results from abnormal results and obtains recommendations from the Physician on next steps. Informs patient of results and recommendation.
- Provides routine and emergent care as directed.
- Providing therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to (per Colorado State Board of Nursing rules and regulations for delegation), supervision of, or teaching others.
- Assists physician with invasive/noninvasive procedures.
- Acquires and maintains knowledge of all equipment and procedures generally used in the care of patients in cardiac intervention.
- Health teaching and health counseling to patients and/or their families.
- Executing delegated medical functions which deliver aspects of care that implement and are consistent with the medical plan as prescribed by a licensed or otherwise legally authorized physician or person acting under the physician's delegated authority.
- Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed. Educates patient/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Is an active member of rapid response team. Responsibilities include BLS/ACLS protocols.
- Implements and ensures compliance with standards of nursing practice which promotes optimal healthcare delivery while meeting all regulatory requirements and functioning in an advisory capacity.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
- Provide coordination and general supervision over assigned staff
- Coordinates nursing department paid time off requests and staffing needs
- Completes all formal evaluation and ongoing evaluation of nursing department staff members
- Responsible for conducting performance improvement needs for department
- Maintains accurate timesheets for RN department
- Collaborate with physicians on processes for patient care issues and treatment modalities
- Conducts monthly department meetings and communicates company needs effectively to staff
- Working closely with Leadership, Physicians and staff to ensure that the department maintains the highest standards of patient care and is responsive to the needs of the patient and the organization
- Acts as a main point of contact for vendors, physicians, and all office staff for the RN department
- Coordinates all new RN training to assist in the on-boarding process
- Mentors / provides appropriate feedback for improvement and expanded skill sets to all other RN’s where appropriate
- Other job duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Colorado RN license, previous experience in cardiology and exercise stress testing preferred; proficient in EKG interpretation
- ACLS and BCLS certified.
- Over 2 years outpatient office experience preferred, at least 1 years of management preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two year college.
- Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
- Extensive knowledge of cardiac disease and its treatment preferred
- Must be comfortable treating acutely ill patients with hemodynamic and electrical instability
KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations and practices to give and evaluate patient care.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment.
SKILLS:
- Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.
- Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Skill in preparing/maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence.
ABILITIES:
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Combination of office and exam settings.
- Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting.
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
