Sika Corporation is a global company having various product divisions with opportunities for growth and advancement. Our Emseal division manufactures high quality expansion joints and precompressed sealants. Sika Emseal is used as the inspiration for invention for its building expansion joint product line, being able to offer solutions for the complete building envelope.

The Buyer position is responsible for reliable and prompt product procurement of both semi-finished and raw materials into our Westborough facility. The role of this position will require them to manage the flow of stock, placing purchase orders as well as maintain effective communication of inventory between operations and our sales team. This position also participates in inventory management through monthly cycle counts. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Monitor material and parts demand, identifying trends
• Populate schedule with vendor ship dates
• Vendor Relations; placing purchase orders, cost negotiations and updated delivery status
• Enter and manage orders for certain Semi-Finished items
• Assisting in monthly cycle counts and inventory management
• Minimize obsolete and aged inventory
• Using ERP software, manage shortage reports and responding accordingly

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5 years of procurement experience
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong organizational and effective time management skills
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent problem solving abilities
