Emergency Department Residency Program Coordinator - East Meadow, NY

Are you ready to join a dynamic team, passionate about developing the next generation of emergency physicians? The Department of Emergency Medicine @ Nassau University Medical Center seeks an experienced Residency Program Coordinator to be the backbone of our program.

In this role as Residency Program Coordinator, you will serve as the primary liaison between the Residency Program Director, chief residents, residents, program faculty, GME Office, and department leadership as well as manage program operations (teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, resident scheduling, maintaining databases, tracking program compliance, and program accreditation). Specifically, you will:

• Coordinate resident/fellow interview process including scheduling interview dates, corresponding with applicants, confirming meetings and appointments
• Implements all required modules of the New Innovations residency management software
• Prepares resident/fellow schedules, which includes didactic lecture series, grand rounds and calendar of events.
• Corresponds with lecturers and coordinates lecture dates, topics and audiovisual needs.
• Provides administrative oversight for all residency and fellowship programs
• Ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures and compliance with all residency/fellowship program requirements.
• Arranges for resident/fellow participation in activities within and outside the program.
• Maintains the residency curriculum (competency-based goals and objectives
• Creates and edits departmental residency training manual.

We require:

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university.
• One year of satisfactory experience in a physician residency program at an office management or administrative level.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with students, faculty, house staff and administration

We prefer:

• Master of Science in Health Care Administration or related field.
• Certification in Training Administrators for Graduate Medical Education.
• 3 years’ experience in a physician residency program at an office management or administrative level.
• Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and demonstrated attention to detail.
• Superb verbal/written communication skills

Salary $55,373/year and includes medical, dental, life insurance, NYS Pension Plan and other excellent benefits.

You must have lived in Nassau County, NY for one year prior to hire. This job is 100% onsite.
