Physician - Urology jobs in Danbury, CT

We are currently seeking to add an additional Registered Nurse to our Urology Department with the new addition of a physician to the practice.

The office setting is an outpatient hospital office, comprised of a great core team of doctor's, nurses, healthcare staff and administrative professionals, who work well together as a team!

Location: Carmel, NY (With potential travel to Fishkill, NY)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay: $40.00 - $70.00/ hour (Depending on Experience & Education)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Obtains the patients pertinent medical history.
• Prepares the patient for the physician to do minor surgery in the clinic procedure room.
• Assist the physician in performing cystoscopys, biopsies dilatation’s, and minor urologic procedures.
• Responsible for performing catheterization using sterile technique, gives catheter care and bladder irrigation.
• Performs cystometrogram (CMG) and follow-up under the indirect supervision of the physician.
• Performs flow studies and bladder scans for residual urine testing.
• Other responsibilities include ultra sound set up for prostate biopsies, performance of voiding trails and records results.
• Performs independent patient health education for patients requiring self catheterization for in the home.
• Oversees the cleaning, sterilization, maintenance, and replacement of all urology instruments and equipment.
• Responsible for nursing care for patients in the urology clinic as directed by medical providers.
• Responsible for patient flow and assisting providers as necessary with examination.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current and valid New York Registered Nursing License
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required
• Must have at least one (1) year of nursing experience
• Urology experience preferred
• ASN or BSN (highly preferred)
