Responsibilities

• Execute planning report based on direction from Material Planner
• Assist in expediting and de-expediting work orders and purchase orders
• Release work orders and purchase orders to preferred/approved suppliers
• Collaborate with purchasing in the evaluation of current/approved suppliers
• Maintain positive communications with internal/external “customers” for raw materials, finished goods, supplies, and services (Customer Service, Suppliers, Inter-plant, operations, etc.)
• Manage inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and internal traffic department
• Assure proper approval, accounting, and processing controls are maintained
• Review and close work orders
• Inventory and interplant receiving
• Manage material issues to work order
• Inventory counting
• Prepare metric data and daily information reports
• Prepare shop packets
• Involvement in continual improvement efforts
• Various administrative duties and JD Edwards/supporting system transaction processing
• Other job task as assigned

Experience/Education

• 0-1 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
• High school or GED required, Associates degree in operation/supply chain or business preferred
