About this role:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for all daily operations at multiple plants to drive maximum productivity and quality. This role will also have primary responsibility to drive reliability and safety measures at the plants.
Job Scope:
· Plan, direct and run day-to-day plant operations.
· Increase production, optimize asset capacity and reliability while minimizing unnecessary costs and increasing plant safety.
· Be responsible for production output and product quality.
· Allocate resources effectively and maximize asset utilization for optimal results.
· Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff.
· Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity.
· Establish standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure an effective return on assets.
· Drive accountability throughout the plant organization through the creation of key metrics and indicators.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
· BS in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10 years' experience specifically in chemical manufacturing.
· Have experience in managing multiple plants.
· Have experience of managing large scale, complex projects within an environment like ours e.g., Manufacturing
· Proven people management/supervisory experience leading and developing a team is a must
· Be metrics driven to create impactful change.
· Be well organized and analytical, with experience of managing budgets and cost control within large scale projects
· Be a multi-disciplinary performer with the ability to roll up your sleeves and wear multiple hats.
· Be an effective communicator to the senior leadership team as well as to the plant staff
