## Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services, general ledger accounting, and be proficient in budgeting and balance sheet reconciliation. Knowledge of SOX compliance and double entry bookkeeping is a plus.

## Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine financial records, statements, and reports
- Ensure accuracy in journal entries and financial transactions
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage accounts receivable processes
- Utilize Sage or similar accounting software for financial tasks
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation

## Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in using accounting software like Sage
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of SOX compliance is preferred
- Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping practices
- Ability to perform clerical duties with a high level of accuracy
