Completes print production jobs on various types of printing press machines, including digital, flexographic, web, screen, or others. Being a Printing Press Operator performs in-process quality inspections utilizing standard testing protocols. Conducts visual inspection of samples prior to running job. In addition, Printing Press Operator completes all required production logs and documentation. Interprets equipment diagnostics, troubleshoots breakdowns, and makes necessary adjustments to complete the job. Performs regular maintenance, cleaning, and changeovers of press from one job to another. Maintains a clean and safe workspace. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Interpret all documents including, but not limited to electronic documents, Product ID, job ticket, customer drawings, customer art, job jacket, etc.
Performs tasks related to supporting trainer and supporting own growth of knowledge about the printing press being trained on
Maintains a clean and orderly workstation
Participates in scheduled maintenance on machine
Demonstrates a commitment to achieving excellent customer service by working effectively as part of a team and by complying with the requirements to continually improve our system
Always maintains a positive contributory attitude when dealing with supervision, customers and/or co-workers.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Job experience preference: Employee has knowledge specific to the mechanical/technical aspects of label printing in an area related to the pressroom within DRG OR, if employee is a new applicant, they have prior job experience that includes mechanically related functions, i.e. has operated or maintained other manufacturing equipment.
Educational Requirements: High School diploma preferred.
Experience Requirements: Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical problem-solving ability.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a press. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
