Printed Circuit Board Designer jobs in Roanoke, VA

This testing position is on the production floor, testing printed circuit board assemblies and/or product as a final unit.  It is not within a test lab. We need experienced technicians who can determine the fault/problem when a board fails down to the exact component.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments, vendors, and customers
2. Must have experience troubleshooting electronic devices to component level by sectionalizing, localizing and isolating defects. Must have a working knowledge of how transistors, resistors, capacitors, and inductors operate in circuits.
3. Computer literate having experience with establishing communications between devices using com ports, wireless networks, and wired ethernet connections.
4. Able to interpret schematics, engineering documents, and BOM’s. 
5. Possess a thorough understanding of test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators.
6. Experience working with programming devices and components using equipment such as MPLAB’s ICD3.
7. Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components
8. Ability to work with minimal supervision
9. Ability to assemble and disassemble products using all basic hand tools.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience.

Preferred:  Minimum 5 years’ experience in testing/troubleshooting
