Requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Additionally, Process Engineering Director typically reports to top management. The Process Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Process Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Position summary:

    Our client seeks a Director, Business Development with a strategic mindset to spearhead sales initiatives, foster client relationships, and elevate the company as a leading brand in the industry while driving growth in North America. This role presents an exclusive opportunity to shape your position in alignment with our client's goals for client acquisition, revenue generation, and regional expansion.     As the Director, Business Development, your role encompasses:

    • Collaborate with the President/General Manager to identify, create, and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives effectively.
    • In time, identify, recruit, train and develop a talented team of employees who can lead critical departments and manage strategic business functions. 
    • Attracting new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business 
    • Drive business growth by spearheading innovative strategies to attract and secure new clients, overseeing the entire sales process from inception to completion.
    • Act as a brand ambassador for the company, portraying its values and mission to enhance brand perception and effectively communicate its message to stakeholders.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, representing the company as the authoritative figure in the US market and ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of technical queries, despite not needing to possess all answers.
    • Take full ownership of the sales lifecycle, from initial prospecting to final implementation, ensuring a seamless and satisfactory experience for clients throughout.

    What Our Client is looking for:

    • 15 years of demonstrable experience in business, sales, and/or marketing roles, particularly within the realm of capital equipment utilized in chemical production.
    • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/process engineering or chemical engineering is advantageous, with a master’s degree in business administration considered a plus.
    • Previous experience in people management is advantageous and highly valued.
    • Prior experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry is highly advantageous and desirable.
