Production Maintenance Supervisor jobs in Altoona, PA

Position Summary
Reporting to one of the Manufacturing Managers, you will be responsible for day-to-day supervision and direction of assigned production employees in achieving order demand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures relating to safety, quality, regulatory, environmental and human resources
• Provide work assignments to production employees in support of daily/weekly order demand schedules
• Drive production employee engagement, training and development
• Actively promote cross training for the purpose of improving throughput, conversion rates, and employee career growth
• Support factory performance to KPIs
• Foster team building and support conflict resolution
• Exhibit motivation, innovation and initiative
• Participate in company processes and methodologies for employee hiring, evaluations, advancement and performance decisions
• Work alongside factory management planning capacity, staffing, training, work scheduling and throughput goals as directed by order backlog and forecast

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience supervising employees
• Customer service orientation with the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced, dynamic business environment
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Effective at building influential relationships with employees and internal/external customers
• Demonstrated quantitative and manufacturing operational skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications; MRP/ERP system experience a must

Physical Demands
Must have the ability to sit, stand, walk and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment; appropriate safety equipment and precautions required such as safety glasses, face shields, gloves, ear plugs, etc.
