Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)
- Operate power tools and equipment to prepare surfaces for painting or coating
- Assemble and disassemble components as required
- Utilize airless paint spraying techniques to apply coatings
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Experience:
- Previous INDUSTRIAL experience in blasting / painting MANDATORY. NO HOUSE PAINTERS
- Familiarity with basic math and measurements
