Production Painter operates a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or products. Mixes paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Being a Production Painter completes finishing with baking, polishing or other materials. Follows all required safety procedures. Additionally, Production Painter may paint items by hand as needed. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervisor/manager. May require an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. The Production Painter possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Education/Experience: Experience in both commercial and residential painting working with a variety of sprayers and application equipment required. Must possess a proficient knowledge of various types of paints and their applications.
Other Requirements: Position requires ability to read, write, and speak English. Must have ability to operate and use equipment such as Genie lifts, scissors lifts, etc. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as air compressor, skill saw, electric drill, impact wrench, etc. Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet.
