Summary

Senior level shop position with a focus on metalworking

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant metal fabrication experience. High level of proficiency TIG & MIG welding steel, stainless steel and aluminum. High level of proficiency with standard shop hand and power tools. High level of proficiency with specialized metal working tools. Excellent fit up and assembly skills. Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Ability to read shop drawings. Good basic math skills. Good communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

The level III fabricator is expected to work at a high skill level and with a minimum of supervision and oversight. Specific responsibilities include all aspects of metalworking required in the execution of projects, including metal prep, cutting, fit up, welding, grinding, and finishing. The level III fabricator is also required to take the lead when working with a team of fabricators, both supervising and providing instruction to the team.

Though the position is primarily a shop based metalworking position, it may also include non- metalworking fabrication and assembly, and also being part of on-site installation teams, both locally and on occasion out of town.

In addition to regular fabrication responsibilities, all shop personnel, at all levels, are expected to take part in occasional housekeeping and maintenance projects, and to contribute to the ongoing upkeep of the shop through regular organization and daily clean up.

Pay

M-F 7am to 3:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
