Primary Purpose of Position | North Carolina A&T State University's Department of Civil, Architectural & Environmental Engineering invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Assistant Professor position in Civil Engineering to begin in Fall 2024. Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering or a related field at the time of appointment. Open to all areas in civil engineering, we are specifically seeking candidates with research and teaching interests related to construction materials such as asphalt, concrete, masonry, steel, brick, etc. The desired candidate would be able to develop innovative experimental and computational methods aimed at bolstering infrastructure resilience and sustainability under the evolving climate and engage and educate students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Individuals with the ability to conduct multidisciplinary research, through their own endeavors as well as through collaborations within and outside the department, are particularly encouraged to apply Successful candidates will be expected to share in our mission to address the challenges of creating a sustainable global society by educating the next generation of HBCU engineers and leaders.
