Purchasing Coordinator jobs in Rochester, NY

Primary Responsibility for purchasing, receiving, and inventory monitoring duties.

Responsibilities Include:

· Entering part numbers and create purchase orders, as assigned.

· Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipts

· Unload packages from incoming trucks with fork truck, pallet lifter, or hand cart.

· Inspect material or package contents for correctness and damage

· Match pack slips to purchase orders and verify item and quantities, communicate discrepancies to purchasing manager and accounts payable

· Receive incoming material within ERP system

· Process Advance Shipment Notices in ERP system

· Enter Certificate of Analysis into ERP and follow process for non-conforming material

· Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements

· Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place or deliver them to designated department

· Perform inventory counts and maintain inventory levels in select stock areas

· Organize, rotate, replenish, and label select stock areas

· Follow safety and environmental policies on handling and storage of hazardous materials

· Work with Vendor Managed Inventory representatives and assist purchasing department in purchase order entry

· Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock

· Prepare returnable containers for pick up

· Assist in inventory organization projects, inventory management projects, and purchasing department projects, as assigned

· Position may require some recordkeeping of usage or may include issuing material to production floor

Desired attributes:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; Excel, Word, Access, Visio, Outlook and Power Point.

· Basic math and writing skills

· Excellent organizational skills

· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

· Ability to lift 50 pounds

· Ability to multi-task

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,600.00 - $45,760.00 per year
