Mid States Steel Corporation is an employee owned company currently looking for a Quality Control Certified Welding Inspector. Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in this field and be fluent in all major welding processes. AWS certification is desired but not required. Applicant but also be able to read and interpret structural steel drawings and using standard inspection tools. Good communication and experience with Microsoft excel and word as well as being familiar with computer software programs is also preferred. There may also be other duties assigned to applicant on top of welding. The working conditions is a structural steel shop so being able to handle temperature changes with the weather and being exposed to various chemicals throughout the plant is a must. We understand how important weekends are, so we work Monday-Friday from 6:00-2:30pm with possible overtime as needed.
