Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. Maintains patient charts, noting such information as the area treated, the radiation dosage, equipment control settings, the patient's reactions, and the total amount of radiation received to date. Being a Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II consults with radiation oncologists and other clinical staff as needed. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II typically requires graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program, certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and a state license to practice. Typically reports to a physician or manager. The Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Position Highlights

    • Shift Schedule: (PRN)  Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. The first month will be fulltime training and then cover PRN basis 
    • Department:  Radiation Therapy 
    • Location: 601 North Elm Street High Point NC 27262, Hayworth Cancer Center, 1st Floor Radiation oncology

    How You’ll Impact Patient care:

     

    As a CMA, your job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

     

    1. Ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient medical operations.
    2. Managing various clerical tasks, scheduling appointments, and assisting medical staff in examinations and procedures.
    3. Conducting patient interviews, vital sign recording, and meticulous documentation.
    4. Setting up examination rooms, administering medications, and complying with infection prevention policies.
    5. Maintaining medication records and adhering to point of care testing policies for seamless healthcare delivery.

    What You’ll Need:

     

    • High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
    • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program  
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross 
    • Current Medical Assistant certification from one of the following is required: 
    • CMA from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
    • CCMA from National Health career Association (NHA)
    • NCMA from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
    • RMA from American Medical Technologists (AMT).   
    • RMA from American Allied Health
    • NCMSMA from National Healthcare Worker’s Association (NHCWA)
    • NRCMA from National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
    • NRMA from National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA)
