Job Overview

Due to the retirement of our long-time GM, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our radio station. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in team management, and advertising sales, with the ability to lead a diverse team. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Manage operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the station, including programming and direct sales.
• Set goals: Establish departmental goals and objectives, and monitor progress against them
• Manage staff: Supervise all staff and ensure they adhere to internal controls
• Manage finances: Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare financial reports
• Manage contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, talent, and advertisers
• Ensure compliance: Ensure the station complies with all regulatory requirements, including FCC compliance
• Represent the station: Act as the public face of the station, representing it in community events and meetings
• Collaborate: Collaborate with the local community leaders to establish the radio stations as the go-to source of information within the local area.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
