Equipment Build and Field Manager
  • Advanced Worker
  • Aurora, OH FULL_TIME
    • As the Equipment Build and Field Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly, integration, and testing of our equipment products
    • You will lead a team of skill technicians, including welders and machinist, ensuring the production of high-quality equipment that meets our customer specifications and expectations
    • Establish/lead project design, resource planning, execution and after install service
    • Develop and execute the division’s strategic build plan, aligning it with the company’s objectives
    • Supervise and lead a team of equipment builders, technicians, and support staff
    • Ensure compliance or note exceptions to customer specifications
    • Determines staff requirements, including subcontractors consistent with project and departmental objectives
    • Optimize divisional processes and SOP’s
    • Help Identify qualified vendors through quality reports
    • Oversee and coordinate equipment build projects, ensuring they are on time and under budget
    • Troubleshoot and manage issues/delays and maintain timelines and budgets
    • Assure timely completion of project action items identified in scheduled safety, design, and project reviews and audits
    • Monitor all expenditures and budgets for project build
    • Manage run-off events to ensure effective, efficient, and timely handover of equipment to customer
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction throughout the process
    • Drive improvement in product quality/design and manufacturing and operations processes
    • Ensures compliance with safety requirements
    • Support of Service and Sealant Divisions as requested
    • Establish staffing requirements in support of organizational objectives
    • Establish realistic goals and performance objectives for team members
    • Monitor and guide accordingly
    • Develop team members through continuous training, coaching and performance management
    • Achieve specific equipment lead time targets
    • Achieves equipment warranty targets

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline
    • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years project management experience in a manufacturing environment in the successful execution and completion of capital projects (ideally in specialty designed equipment manufacturing)
    • Experience managing field service activities required
    • Advanced problem-solving skills required
    • Specific Skills: Demonstrated leadership history in supervising direct reports and subcontractors in the successful completion of projects
    • Demonstrated success in managing budgets
    • Excellent MS Office skills
    • Must have the ability to coordinate work activities, be a self-starter and manage multiple tasks along with setting priorities and working closely with internal and external customers
    • Ability to travel including international – up to 5%

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
