    Job Description:
    The KualoaGrown Market and Brand Manager plays a crucial role in the operation of Kualoa Ranch’s onsite farmers market, maintaining and growing our KualoaGrown brand, and expanding on our value-added and partner farm programs. With a strong emphasis on high-quality local food production, product diversification, and entrepreneurial spirit, the role will also be responsible for initiatives related to internal and external communications and outreach including but not limited to social media presence and the creation of Kualoa’s Annual Impact Report. All Kualoa managers are expected to contribute & align their practices with the mission and overarching goal of the KualoaGrown brand – to produce safe, high-quality products raised in an environmentally, sustainable manner.

    Essential Responsibilities:
    The KualoaGrown Market and Brand manager will have direct oversight in the following areas:
    Leadership
    KualoaGrown Market
    • Onsite brick and mortar market that acts as the main retail channel of KualoaGrown agricultural products, as well as over 60 partner farms/producers.
    • This market is open 7 days a week and includes a staff of 1 market lead, and up to 3 cashier employees.
    Diversified Agriculture Coordinator
    • This supporting role is responsible for recordkeeping, invoicing, & proactive engagement with internal & external stakeholders to enhance overall department performance.
    • Oversees department transfers, management of outside accounts, facilitation of internships, driving & enforcing food safety standards, maintaining relationships with farmers & food safety partners, & demonstrating accountability through regular check-ins.
    Market & Brand Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the KG Farmers Market
    • Provide leadership & guidance to market team, including training & development opportunities.
    • Staff schedule management
    • Sourcing new products. Fostering relationships with local farmers, artisans, & vendors who prioritize sustainable agriculture and local food security.
    • Manage vendor recruitment & onboarding.
    • Maintain product inventory (backstock management, storage, expiration of products, inventory counts, PO/Invoicing, internal transfer recordkeeping)
    • Produce informative, creative, & quality weekly newsletters (in collaboration with Market Lead)
    • Build upon & strengthen KG local customer base.
    • Handle invoicing & payment processing for vendors, ensuring accuracy & timely processing of financial transactions.
    • Prepare comprehensive data for annual impact reports.
    • Compile & analyze annual fiscal information, including weekly sales reports.
    • Provide insight into the financial performance of KG Market & identify opportunities for growth & cost optimization.
    • Conduct market research & analyses to monitor trends, preferences, & opportunities
    • Manage a customer base for targeted marketing strategies, improved engagement, & enhanced customer experience
    • Maintain market/retail equipment associated with the market.
    • Continual market improvements for optimization (merchandising, display, cleanliness, workflow, efficiency, customer experience, partnership relations, sales)
    • Grassfed beef inventory management
    • Market fiscal organization including cash deposits and general budget management.
    Communications & Outreach
    • Driving & supporting KG sustainability & social impact initiatives
    • KG social media management and organization (daily story posts hard posts & reels)
    • Collaborating with farmers & market manager to "push" products, educate, & encourage growth of KG events (workdays, poi-preorders, pop-ups)
    • Continuing to plan & expand regular monthly pop-up events
    • Internship onboarding & facilitation
    • Produce a quality & comprehensive annual impact report
    • Develop and implement a sustainability dashboard to capture and communicate all of the current sustainability efforts being driven by the ranch as a whole.
    Minimum Requirements
    • College degree or 5 years work experience in a related field
    • 2 years people management experience required.
    • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and branding strategies that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth.
    • Inventory management experience.
    • Social Media platform experience in a professional environment
    • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market research methodologies, and marketing analytics.
    • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a keen eye for design and branding aesthetics.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
    Preferred Requirements
    • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, digital analytics platforms, and graphic design software is a plus.
    • Previous experience with Agriculture
    • Food production experience preferred.
