Records Manager develops and manages the company records department and information management programs. Responsible for overseeing the storage, backup, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and disposition of all records. Being a Records Manager evaluates and recommends media formats and storage requirements to be used for records/information. Ensures that processes and policies that comply with all regulatory requirements for record retention are followed. Additionally, Records Manager designs and implements systems and processes to protect and secure critical records and information. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Records Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     City of Fort Collins Real Estate Services (RES) is hiring a part-time position focusing on compiling a database of City owned properties. The primary responsibility of this position is to review documentation for City owned parcels and entering relevant information into a form. This position will also provide backup customer service support, and occasional office support to the RES team. This is a part-time position working no more than 29 hours/week. The RES Records Technician reports to the RES Manager.

    WORK SCHEDULE:
    This position is expected to work up to 29 hours per week. A typical work week is Monday – Friday.

    BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
    The City of Fort Collins owns 500 parcels of land within Larimer County. We are in need of creating and maintaining an up-to-date property database focusing on real estate details. This database will assist the City in developing an overarching strategy for maintaining and utilizing the properties the City owns according to City needs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary function of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
    -Review and analyze existing records in Laserfiche, digital and paper RES files, and Larimer County Assessor.
    -Interview target property onsite management
    -Fill in a template regarding the property
    -Operate imaging equipment to create quality-level document images
