Regional Chef plans and creates new menu items for multiple restaurants in a region. Trains unit chefs in meal preparation methods, portion size, and nutrition. Being a Regional Chef negotiates price and purchases food and restaurant inventory items in bulk. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Regional Chef typically reports to top management. The Regional Chef typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Regional Chef typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Objectives of this role
    • Create delicious meals, appetizers, sides, and desserts
    • Maintain high standards for our food and equipment, helping us determine what needs to be ordered or repaired
    • Create and prepare family meals
    • Take our menu and reputation to the next level by leveraging your expertise, industry knowledge, and culinary creativity
    • Ensure that food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
    Responsibilities
    • Analyze the line and assure highest quality of product. 
    • Taste all prep to ensure taste is impeccable and complete all prep in a timely manner
    • Cook entrees and prepare other menu items such as appetizers, salads, dressings, sauces, and desserts with finesse and urgency 
    • fill out prep lists accurately
    • fill out station inventory sheets
    • complete daily cleaning tasks 
    Skills and qualifications
    • Advanced knowledge of cooking and food preparation techniques
    • strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude 
    • Professionalism: punctuality, precision, language etc. 
    • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for teamwork
    • highly skilled on the line 
    • Comfort studying a recipe and executing it properly 
    • Ability to follow instructions and be teachable
    Preferred qualifications
    • Culinary degree or on-the-job experience
    • In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
    • Experience cooking with diverse ingredients
    • Certification relevant to state or country of employment, such as a food handler certificate
