Overview

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager I candidate for growing team at a manufacturing and distribution company in Sanford, FL. American Builders Supply is Florida’s largest independent supplier of lumber, truss, doors, and windows with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Ocala, Tampa, Sarasota, and Fort Myers.

Responsibilities:

• Will demonstrate the ability to move to the HR Manager position in a short time.
• Manage day-to-day HR functions across the company.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
• Primary contact for employee relations issues and questions.
• Manage the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
• Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
• Oversee the payroll function.  
• Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
• Direct new hire and/or benefits orientations.
• Plan HR direction in alignment with company growth plans and more senior HR management.
• Coordinate the development of the HR Operations team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification/requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
• At least 7 years of HR experience.
