Job Title: Safety and Fleet Manager

Overview:
As the Safety and Fleet Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of trucks. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols, compliance with regulations, and managing the overall maintenance and performance of our vehicles. This position requires a strong understanding of transportation safety regulations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with drivers, maintenance staff, and management.
Responsibilities:
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to transportation safety, including DOT regulations, FMCSA rules, and OSHA standards.
Safety Training: Develop and implement comprehensive safety training programs for drivers.
Driver Oversight: Oversee driver hiring, training, and performance evaluation processes. Monitor driver behavior to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Vehicle Maintenance: Coordinate and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including scheduled inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Qualifications:
2 years of experience in transportation safety management, preferably in the trucking industry.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, FMCSA rules, and OSHA standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, staff, and regulatory authorities.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and implementing safety initiatives.
Familiarity with Safety and fleet management software is desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
