Position Overview

We are looking for an individual to join our purchasing team as a Replenishment Buyer in our corporate office.

This position will be responsible for ordering product from specific STI suppliers of Irrigation, Drainage and Landscape products to replenish stock at both STI DC and branch locations to ensure product is available at the right location at the right time to support market needs. 

The right individual will have good analytical and reasoning skills as well interpersonal skills due to the interaction with our sales team/branch managers, corporate personnel and the supplier. The individual should have strong computer and excel skills. 

What You’ll Do

· Create, place, and manage supplier purchase orders to replenish stock in line with established stocking skus and inventory turn requirements. 

· Monitor open PO’s and follow up with Supplier

· Monitor back orders and work proactively with supplier and sales to fill orders

· Review replenishment methods based on supplier freight, sales and turns and makes recommendations

· Ensures accuracy of delivery and pricing information by reviewing supplier data and files

· Investigate and resolve receiving/invoicing discrepancies working with supplier and accounting department

· Maintains item integrity by ensuring new parts and substitute parts are loaded correctly.

· Process and review special orders to ensure adherence to supplier purchase agreement, terms and pricing

· Review branch transfer requests as needed and assist branch teams as needed on stock

· Provides collaborative guidance, suggestions and support to the annual planning with sales on stocking skus by location 

· Supports annual supplier program administration 

· Monitor supplier performance and communicate with supplier on any changes, issues, or concerns

- Monitor slow inventory and helps coordination of inventory re-alignment across      locations

· Handles supplier returns 

· Enforce Company purchasing policies and procedures

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills We Are Seeking

· Minimum of 2 years’ of related experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management

· Proficient in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages

· Excellent organizational, documentation and follow-up skills

· Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy, fast paced environment

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders

· Strategic thinker, problem solver, doer, with a bias towards action

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Word, Outlook and experience with inventory management software systems
