Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees all activities of a residence hall. Responsible for student housing assignment, maintenance of facilities, and safety of residents. Being a Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) ensures students follow college/university conduct policies and takes appropriate disciplinary actions when rules are broken. Incumbent is not given room and board at the residence hall as part of the employment arrangement. Additionally, Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees maintenance and renovation, purchase and inventory of supplies, assignment of semester rooms and summer housing, housekeeping functions, and management of student conduct and discipline. Room and board in the residence hall is not included in the terms of employment. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Res. Seasonal Dining Hall Assistants – Housing Available
The MDI Biological Laboratory seeks highly motivated seasonal per diem dining hall staff to assist all food service needs as planned for institutional courses, conferences, and events.
Applicants can choose from for a variety of work schedules working full weeks or single days in any given week. Ideal schedules are below:
Weekdays 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM or 4:00 PM-8:00PM.
Weekends 3:00-8:00
Required qualifications include:
Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safety practices; basic knife skills, and the demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to guests and staff.
Willingness to become Serve Safe certified.
Preferred qualifications: Serve Safe certification.
Salary Range: $16 – $18 per hour, depending on qualifications.
