Research and Development Engineer jobs in Oregon

Designs a complete and complex framework, system or product. Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Conceives system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses. Influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems. Provides multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.

• Work effectively as a member of a product development team
• Define problems and success criteria, develop solutions and define test strategies, analyze data andassess the effectiveness of the solution
• Write system andsub system requirements
• Conduct system architecture analysis and developing models
• Design experiments to characterizesub systems and system performance
• Statistical Analysis of Variation and SPC methods
• Setting Reliability and Productivity Objectives
• Driving Reliability plans and improvement (IRONMAN methods)
• Familiar with various etch process technology
• Scope and plan projects; Ability to execute and deliver against tight time schedules.
• Developcost reduction tradeoffs, yield improvement, and cycle time reductions.
• Database information management (QuickBase, JMP,Excel, etc.)
• Team leadershipwith demonstrated ability to motivate and work with othertechnical resources.

• BS Engineering or Related Science minimum; Ph.D or Masters Preferred
• 10 to 15years technology/engineering experience with semiconductorfabrication products.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail
• Successful track record of working withina matrix technical environment
